Japan Corn Starch’s Tokyo Plant Receives FSSC 22000 Certification
Contributing to the Safety and Security of Our Customers Through Global Standards

The Tokyo plant of general starch manufacturer Japan Corn Starch Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Kurachi Sōichirō, President) has obtained FSSC 22000 certification (for its food service management system).

FSSC22000 is an international standard that encompasses the ISO220000 standard, as well as the additional requirements of ISO/TS22002-1 and Food Safety System Certification (FSSC). It is approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is a food safety management system standard for the purpose of providing food that is safe.

While this is a new achievement for the Japan Corn Starch’s Tokyo plant, the company’s Kinuura plant already obtained this international certification in 2011. Both locations can now work together even more diligently to provide customers with safe and secure food.

Having obtained FSSC22000 certification, the Company does not intend to rest on its laurels, but will continue to strive for further quality improvements throughout its operations so that it can provide safe and secure products to its customers. It is the intention of Japan Corn Starch Co., Ltd. to contribute to society by continuously evolving as a general starch manufacturer.
