This starch syrup is produced by the traditional method , converting starch with acid.

It contains a good balance of glucose, maltose, and maltotriose. It is used for adjustment of sweetness and physical properties (viscosity, moisture retention, and others).

It is used in a broad range of food products such as Japanese sweets, confectionaries, jams, and prepared foods.
