Overview

Characteristics

This syrup is composed primarily of maltose, a component with physical properties similar to sugar.

It contains approximately 70% maltose, providing a strength of sweetness that is approximately 1/3 that of sugar.

It is used for adjustment of sweetness and physical properties (viscosity, moisture retention, and others).

Partially replacing sugar with this syrup can make the sweetness reduced.

It is used for all kinds of purposes in general food products such as Japanese sweets, confectionaries, jams, and prepared foods.
